Sodium hypochlorite is also known as sodium hypoclorid or liquid chlorine. This product is produced by PT Pakerin and PT Tjiwi Kimia.
Sodium hypocloride is used extensively in bleaching processes, for example in the paper industry, in oxidation processes, for example to oxidize pollutants in water treatment processes as well as disinfectants, for example in pool treatment.
Sodium hypoclorid is also used in cooling water conditioning in various industries to prevent the growth of mosses, for example in pipes, heat exchanger units and cooling towers.
In addition, sodium hypocloride is used in a variety of household cleaning and disinfecting products. Other industrial chemical uses include industrial cleaners (in food and beverage industries, restaurants and catering industries) and laundry (laundering used in hospitals and factories). In the pulp and paper and textile industries, sodium hypochlorite is often used as a bleaching agent in the bleaching process.
